Sprucing up my home with flowers

Well it looks like summer is finally upon us, not a moment to late. The huge deluge of monsoon style rain followed by bursts of sun has left my once tame garden growing into a wild wilderness of plants and the dreaded weeds!
I have decided that this weekend seen as though the weather is forecast to be glorious that  i'm going to get out there and tackle my jungle and also spruce up my home, with flowers that me and the kids have lovingly planted in our garden a few months back.

Our strawberries have benefited from the rain!

I have a few vases under the kitchen sink but I am looking for more of a statement piece for my dining room table. I have been looking on John Lewis online and have seen  this beautiful vase that I would use with floating candles.

I am loving some of the designs that they have online at John Lewis at the moment the Darlington crystal glitz vase at £40.00 is simply stunning with the added touch of sparkle,  it would look simply divine with coloured water and a few simple white roses.

There is also plenty of vases that have been reduced and I am having a hard time choosing!

This year I have been paying special attention to my rose bushes as last year I just left them to do their own thing, (probably due to the fact I didn't have time with a new born and a three year old in hospital with a broken femur!) they flowered then died… This year I have been pruning them and they have defiantly excelled themselves in the growth department. I’m actually very proud, so Fingers crossed we have more beautiful weather and me and the minis can get out in the garden and bring a little inside to brighten the place up.
I would love to know what your favorite plants and flowers are and if you bring them indoors to brighten up your home?
Any hints and tips id love to hear.
