Tommee tippee's big reveal -revealed

So all became clear yesterday as I was invited to a very special launch for Tommee Tippee.
I am thrilled to announce Tommee Tippee's new product "Perfect Prep".
To me on first glance at the perfect prep, this is like the ultimate teas maid or should I say milk maid for any zombiefied parent at 4 am juggling a screaming hungry baby baby a kettle and a box of formula. It is specially designed to make preparing bottle easier, quicker and more accurate as it makes a fresh bottle at just the right temperature in less than two minutes! Yes you read it right 2 minutes!!
The benefits of the Perfect Prep,
It filters the water
It delivers a small "hot shot" of water to kill any bacteria in the feed and ensures the formula dissolves quickly and easily
It dispenses the correct amount of water at body temperature to make up the feed.

Perfect prep can be used with a rage of bottles both wide and narrow neck the unit can be adjusted for different height bottles. The filter can be purchased for £8.99 you wouldn't need to replace this till after three months if you used it for six large bottles a day.

I love the fact that perfect prep could be stored most places in your kitchen or if like me you would prefer to have it in your bedroom, meaning that your not walking around your house disturbing people (other children)!

It is available from the first week in May 2013 at £99.99 from Amazon & Babies'r'Us but is available to pre order at this weekends baby show for a bargain price of £66.66.

Here is the Discount Code
This code offers you the same 33% off the Perfect Prep Machine as at The Baby Show.

John Bull Rock Factory

Today we (the hubby and the mini me's) went to the John Bull Rock Factory at the Carnaby Industrial estate situated just out side Bridlington. We went to do the factory tour, having been a few years back my eldest Valentino really enjoyed it so we thought we would head back as Lorenzo was only a baby last time we visited.
Unfortunately the factory tour was only open to watch the rock making, on our previous visit we made chocolate lollies and watched how they made different chocolates and other yummy treats.
Valentino and Lorenzo watched the process of how they made the rock, the rolling, chopping and of course there were samples of rock and sweets for us to try. The boys wanted to roll some rock and they wanted to have their initials made inside the stick they were rolling. So Lorenzo had a L and Valentino had a V.
We were slightly disappointed that the whole factory wasn't open but still enjoyed it all the same. Here's some pictures of the rock and the boys rolling their own mini masterpieces, and of course the yummy factory shop :)

Shrove Tuesday aka pancake day in Scarborough

Today is Shrove Tuesday aka Pancake day here in Scarborough. Unlike most people, the people of Scarborough have a tradition that established in 1903, of a mass long-rope skipping event on Shrove Tuesday. It is suggested that its origins lie in the local fishermen sorting their ropes and nets at this time of year,  giving those not fit for fishing to children.
In scarborough the traffic is stopped and the road is closed along the foreshore to allow for the skipping, schools close early or allow children the day off to go and take part in the festivities.
We went down to the beach today and it was so cold, it even started to snow. We had a walk round and the kids had fun skipping, although Lorenzo who is 4 was having issues with his skipping rope! Valentino did slightly better, and little Alex watched from her pram. We called it a day after about an hour or so as it was so cold and went home to have our pancakes!
Here's some pics of the skipping and our yummy pancakes. Hope you all had your pancakes :)

Crabtree & Evelyn - Tarocco Orange eucalyptus & sage collection.

I received a sample from Crabtree & Evelyn from the brand new collection Tarocco Orange eucalyptus & sage, ultra-moisturising hand therapy.

Tarocco Orange, Eucalyptus & sage is the latest addition to Crabtree & Evelyn's botanicals collection. At the heart of the collection is antioxidant rich blood orange extract, blended with revitalising eucalyptus and soothing sage. This combination helps to cleanse and freshen, leaving your skin feeling soft and silky smooth.

My hands at the moment are feeling pretty dry and sore, i think this is a combination of the good old british weather, air conditioning, central heating and busy mummy hands.
I've started to use the cream and it has a wonderful aroma, a sweet smelling citrus and the cream is easily absorbed unlike other creams i have used in the past, my favourite part of all is that it doesn't leave a nasty greasy residue. It feels silky smooth and refreshing on my tired dry hands.

This new collection from Crabtree & Evelyn goes on official release on the 15th of Febuary 2013.
I can't wait to try more products from this gorgeous fragrance range.

Itaggy review

I have been asked to review itaggy softie sunshine toy for thebabywebsite.com. My first impressions of this gorgeous little toy were that its bright and colourful and the material is of a lovely soft fleece. I gave the itaggy to my daughter who is 9months and she instantly took a liking to it, she started waving the itaggy around, started smiling at the smily face and started trying to grasp the bright different coloured tags. This I liked as it was helping my daughter develop her motor skills.
The itaggy came with a link so we could attach the itaggy to her pram and carseat when we were out and about. It also came in a little gift bag with a care card. I love the fact that the itaggy is made in the uk and that other products from itaggy can be personalised, that's perfect for a gift / keepsake for any little one.
If I could make a suggestion it would be maybe if the itaggy could have a bell or squeaker inside?

Over all I found the quality and the price (£7.99) great value for money and I'd definitely recommend or buy as a gift for a little one. The itaggy softie sunshine comes in different colours and is available from http://www.itaggy.com
Itaggy are on twitter and Facebook so go check them out.

Ikea, its all about the random purchase....

So it's silly o'clock in the morning and daddy b has gone to work but I'm now wide awake, so thought I'd come on here and share a picture of our little helper.
We went to ikea the other day not for anything in particular, I actually wanted to look at the fabrics they had to finish off Alex's blanket I'm making her.
We ended up leaving with a blue bag of randomness that had amongst other things some more glass tumblers, as we had slowly smashed a few since our last visit! A shelf and some brackets. Some new chopping boards. A photo frame. Some wrapping paper. Odd looking clips and storage holders for the boys room. Then what we didnt plan on leaving with were two huge boxes containing a wall unit/storage thingy mabob.
I love storage I really do only problem being is I can always manage to fill it and wonder how on earth I coped prior to having it. I think it's like the handbag theory I have...... The bigger the bag the more stuff I manage to stuff into it???
Anyway as daddy built the ikea flat pack me and Alex took pictures. Happy DIY people....

Little Fingys Finger Puppets

Little fingy finger puppets
Nocturnal Norris flew through my letterbox the other day courtesy of jelly fingers and little fingy. He's a hand knitted finger puppet, an owl. Me and my daughter love owls so we were pleased to have him come live with us. We have played with him and he is great for both story telling time and subtle distractions of a hungry baby whilst daddy is making a bottle. I love that hes hand made in Peru and the fact that little fingy donate to charity's and fund raising.  You can get a little fingy sent for as little as £1.70 with a greetings card it makes an ideal alternative gift for little ones or big with a creative imagination.

Here's some information from little fingys website more available from  http://finger-puppets.co.uk/

ABOUT US
Little Fingy is intended to be as much fun as possible. We are bursting with exciting ideas and aim to get the whole nation involved in the finger puppet madness… Partly for the sheer fun of it and partly to raise lots of money for charity and good causes.

Our Knitters

Our knitters are based in a number of villages in the Andean regions of South America. Sometimes whole families work together and knitting enables them to remain in the rural communities rather than heading for a life of urban poverty. Whilst often working at home, women have the opportunity to bring up their family at the same time as contributing to the family income.

Our Puppets

Our puppets are great to mess about with and loved by all ages! They are also ideal for story telling, imaginative play, language and sound development for younger children.

All puppets are hand crafted with superb detail and have been safety tested to the European Standard on Safety of Toys:

The puppets are suitable for all ages and display the CE mark.

CHARITY & FUNDRAISING

THE LITTLE FINGY FUND

Little Fingy donates 10% of all profits to charity and good causes as follows:

- PROJECTS IN THE ANDEAN VILLAGES WHERE THE KNITTERS LIVE. We make this donation to say ‘Thank you’ for the knitters work and to act as an incentive to keep up the good work. The money is for improving the quality of life for the knitters and their families by improving community facilities in their villages. Each year we ask the knitters how they want the money to be spent.  So far we have bought desks and computers for their children’s schools and blankets and mattresses for the knitters and their families.

- UNICEF

- CANCER RESEARCH UK
- ENVIRONMENTAL AND COMMUNITY PROJECTS.

* Please note we split our 10% donation as follows:

6% to knitters, 2% Environmental projects, 1% Unicef, 1% Cancer Research UK
